This week we continue in our series: Disciples of Jesus- looking at I Peter 2:9-12. God has chosen us in Christ to be His people—a chosen race, royal priesthood, and holy nation—so that we might proclaim His greatness to the world. As followers of Jesus, we embrace our new identity, abstain from the sinful desires that war against our souls, and live distinct lives that reflect God’s character. When we proclaim Christ through both our words and our lives, the world can see the transforming power of the gospel and glorify God.
